WHO WE ARE?

Introduction

The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts, founded by Fr. Simpliciano of Nativity, is a religious congregation of Pontifical rights which by virtue of the profession of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis and by aggregation to the order of Friars Minor, live in communion of life with the whole Franciscan family.

Hence, to concretize their vision-mission-goal to follow Christ in the service of God and brethren, according to the Franciscan spirituality as well as to continue the apostolate works of the founder of the Congregation, that which paved the way for the Franciscan Sisters to grow rapidly to manage several institutions that cater to underprivileged children, especially young women elsewhere in the world which has been initiated in Rome, Italy.
One of these several institutions is;

The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts Children`s Home Inc., a registered & licensed child-caring institution, founded in 1992, existing in Cebu City for over a decade, helping society lessen societal problems of poverty, illiteracy, illness, mendicancy, unemployment, scavenging, street life, violence, and many others.

Its present location is at #3 Alaura St., Guadalupe Cebu City. It caters to female children ages 9-18 years old who are abandoned, neglected, indigent, orphaned, OSY, physically abused, foundlings, and other helpless children or those children in need of special protection (CNSP).

The Home focuses on educating, helping, empowering, nurturing, and guiding the aforementioned category of children. The institution exists through grants and donations to save young Filipino children from further illiteracy, deviancy, and violence, which often makes them the vulnerable group to abuse and other forms of discrimination and exploitation.....
